Asthma Peak Season with OMRON | Today’s the Best Day

For those of you that are new around here, WELCOME! I am so happy to have you be a part of our Bestie Squad! I am excited to hang out around here with you and to chat about ALL the things – and today’s topic is asthma season, which, if you have been around for a while, you know of what a very special place in my heart the topic of asthma is to me and my family.

You see, my 4 year old was diagnosed with asthma just one month before his 2nd birthday. Some may think that is an awful and sad diagnosis for such a tiny baby {which it is}, but oh my heavens the diagnosis was an answer to so many of my prayers because we were FINALLY able to figure out what was wrong with him and FINALLY get him the help and treatment that he SO BADLY needed and continues to need.

The third week of September is considered Asthma Peak Week, have you ever heard of it?! This is the week that many more people stay in the hospital for asthma shortly after school starts than at any other time of the year. In fact, according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) around 25% of asthma-related hospital stays in children happen in September. And, for those living with asthma, this September could prove to be the toughest yet as students return to the classrooms and adults return to the office. Warmer than average weather and dry conditions combined with poor air quality across the U.S. from devastating wildfires could combine for a rough ragweed and allergy season.

How scary is that?!?

Sending my boy off to school is nerve racking, as you can imagine. Not knowing what he will be exposed to can be worrisome.

To be honest, the ONE thing that comforts me in sending him off to where he wants to be and I know is where he SHOULD be – is OMRON. And that is why I am SO excited and feel blessed to partner with them to share with you their Prescription-Grade Respiratory Care Products.

OMRON makes FDA-cleared, prescription grade nebulizers for adults and children with asthma, and their product range includes sleek, portable, quiet, and easy-to-use nebulizers that kids feel comfortable using.

OMRON is a leader in the personal nebulizer category, having pioneered technologies to make smaller, portable, effective nebulizers so patients can get the treatment they need discreetly and comfortably.

Hunter and I cuddle on the couch EVERY SINGLE night with his OMRON CompAir Compressor Nebulizer for Kids. The newest OMRON nebulizer features a kid-friendly design with an animal character adorning the front of the device. The CompAir Compressor Nebulizer for kids is OMRON’s lightest tabletop compressor nebulizer model and it produces only 45 decibels of sound while in use—equivalent to the sound level of a quiet library.

I am grateful for OMRON and for their tools that they provide moms like me and kids like Hunter to manage his asthma during peak asthma season. For more information about OMRON – click here!

Special thanks to OMRON for being a sponsor of Today’s The Best Day. Although we were compensated for this article, all opinions are my own.
