Funny Things My Daughter Florence Has Said Recently

Florence, who turned 3 in November, never ceases to amaze me, she’s bright as a button, absorbs new information at the speed of light (and especially when Mummy shouldn’t be swearing when road rage hits-whoops), and her memory retention is so good it’s ridiculous. She learnt A to G of the alphabet recently and within 5 minutes, had grasped H-P when I taught her it the following day.

She says it in one go now so almost has the alphabet down to a T, get it?!

I want to share her little achievements here not to be boastful by any means because all children learn and develop at different paces, in their own way but for posterity’s sake. Discovering old posts of my older sons’ sweet phrases, jokes and idiosyncrasies at her age and older, feel like little presents to unwrap of moments mostly long forgotten.

Below are a few more adorable things she’s been saying recently.

I struggled to fit a plastic stethoscope into her Peppa Pig doctor’s case, the other day, and this is how our conversation went. ‘Sorry Florence, I just can’t close it’. Florence, ‘Try please’. I managed it. Florence, ‘See, it’s not impossible’.

‘I know, let’s get our nails done, I would like sparkly Elsa nails please’. We’ve started making monthly trips to the salon and I can’t lie, it’s the cutest!

She noticed me perusing rings online (jewellery is my biggest obessesion). ‘Not again, you have enough’. She’s not wrong but it won’t stop me looking!

‘You’re my best, best friend, Mummy’. ‘Thank you sweetheart’. ‘You’re number one, Daddy is number 2 and Oliver and Aleaxander are kaka (poop)-heartmelt but hahahha.

When I came back from London in professional make up, Florence was impressed!

‘Ooh your eyes are so pretty. They have sparkles, I want some’. She then proceeded to take my eyeshadow off with her fingers and dabbed it on her own!

Hilarious little one!
