How to Play Hallmark Christmas Movie Bingo
Playing Hallmark Movie Bingo is easy! It’s just like traditional bingo but with a spooky makeover. Here’s how to get started:
- Bingo Cards: Each player gets a bingo card filled with different things we might see in Hallmark Christmas movies (or any of the holiday movies really).
- Bingo markers: You can choose something fun to use as bingo markers (see my ideas below) or you can just cross off each box as you find it in the movie.
- How to Play: There isn’t a caller in this version of Bingo because it’s all based on the Hallmark movie you’re watching at the time. I recommend that people call out the things they see as the movie goes along. One person could keep a list on an extra sheet of paper to check for bingos, if desired.
- Winning: The first player to mark a full row, column, or diagonal shouts “BINGO!” and wins a prize or enjoys the thrill of victory. You can play different variations on the Bingo game too.
Bingo Game Markers
Here are some fun ideas for Christmas movie bingo markers with links to buy some of my favorite products.
You can also use more traditional Bingo markers. Some of my favorite things to use with kids:
- Bingo Daubers – These are fun to use, but your game cards won’t be able to be reused. You can always print more though!
- Bingo Counting Chips – These were a staple in my classroom when I was teaching and they’re perfect for any Bingo game! You could just use the red and green ones to make it more festive.
Choose something that adds a bit of fun flavor to the game while keeping it festive to make Hallmark Bingo a little extra!
Bingo Variations
You can play Christmas Bingo the traditional way (the first person to get first across vertical, horizontal, or diagonal calls out Bingo), but you can also play different variations of the gameplay if you want to play more than once.
- Blackout: This version of Bingo is played where players try to fill their entire game card and cover all of the squares.
- Four Corners: In this version, players try to cover the four corners of their Bingo card.
- X Marks the Spot: To win this variation, players must cover two diagonal lines that cross in the middle to make an X on their board.
Hallmark Movie Bingo Prizes
Holiday Bingo games are even more fun if you have themed prizes. Since you’re probably playing Hallmark bingo with mostly adults, my prize suggestions are a little bit different than what I usually suggest when playing bingo with groups of kids. Here are some fun ideas:
- White Elephant Gifts – anything that could be a White Elephant gift makes a perfect bingo gift when you’re watching these movies.
- Gift Cards – Small denomination gift cards are always popular with adults and even older kids.
- Fuzzy Socks – Perfect for chilly winter nights and getting cozy while you curl up to watch a holiday movie!
- Hot Chocolate Bombs
- Cute Mugs – You can get affordable holiday mugs at places like Target and Walmart! Fill them with candy or just give them as prizes.
- Small Ornaments – Target is my favorite place to get small, affordable ornaments. They make great prizes and are also adorable if you’re looking to make a wrapped gift even cuter!

Hallmark Bingo Printable Tips & Tricks
This printable is designed to be printed on 8.5″x11″ sheets of paper. You can also print two pages per sheet to create half-sheet cards.
Directions for 2 Cards per Page
Under Print menu, More Settings select 2 for pages Per Sheet. then print the pages you want to use. You will need to trim them with scissors or a paper trimmer.
Reuseable Cards
If you’d like to turn these bingo cards into a game you can use multiple times, I recommend printing the cards on cardstock and then laminating them. Then they will be more durable. You can also use dry erase markers to cross out spaces as they’re called which always worked well for me when I was teaching.
